The data controller is Update Labs di Scalera Davide, registered office at Via Ripamonti 209, 20141 Milan, Italy, VAT 16605771001. For any matter relating to processing, write to privacy@updatelabs.it.

2. Data collected and purposes
We collect the data you provide by filling in the forms (participant application, Speaker, hosting, Custom enquiry): name, email, role, company, city, free-text content. Purpose: to handle your application or request — to assess it, get back to you, and organise participation or a commission. No automated marketing, no transfer to third parties for commercial purposes.

3. Legal basis
Art. 6 EU Reg. 2016/679 (GDPR): art. 6.1(a) explicit consent given via checkbox; art. 6.1(b) pre-contractual measures at your request (for Custom enquiries).

4. Retention
24 months from collection for applications not accepted. Duration of the relationship + 36 months for actual Open participants and Custom clients, subject to legal obligations (e.g. tax).

5. Access and transfers
Access is limited to authorised Update Labs personnel. Data is also processed by Netlify (hosting, United States) to receive and store form submissions — covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. No other third party receives the data for commercial purposes.

6. Your rights
Arts. 15-22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability. Write to privacy@updatelabs.it — we reply within 30 days. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

7. Provision and updates
Providing data is optional: you may choose not to fill in the forms, but we won't be able to assess your application or handle your request. This policy may be updated. The version in force is always the one published here. Version 1.0 — 27 May 2026.
